David named vice president of finance, planning at BCM

HOUSTON -- (July 27, 2007) -- Kimberly C. David has been named vice president of finance and planning for Baylor College of Medicine.

David had been serving as the assistant vice president of finance at the college since 1998.

Before joining BCM, David worked in a number of accounting and management positions for Arthur Andersen.

A certified public accountant, David graduated from Oklahoma State University with a bachelor's of science in accounting. She was awarded her master's of business administration from Rice University in 2004.

David currently is serving on the boards of Child Advocates, Inc., Houston Harris County Immunization Registry and Shoulder to Shoulder.

As vice president of finance and planning at BCM, David reports to Brett Sweet, executive vice president of finance and administration and chief financial officer. She is responsible for all functions regarding the financial affairs of the academic medical center, including the medical school and the new Baylor Clinic and Hospital.
